Base R has sophisticated facilities for handling\ntime, but these can give unexpected results if, for example,\ntimezone is not handled properly. It systematically deconstructs the concepts origin\nand timezone, and de-emphasizes the display of seconds. It also\nconverts among nominal durations such as seconds, hours, days,\nand weeks.
